Dale Richard Phelps' Obituary
Dale Richard Phelps was born on May 14th 1961 (Mother's day) at Tacoma General Hospital to Richard and Goldie Phelps. He passed away suddenly on May 4th, 2026 at the age of 64.
Dale grew up in Edgewood area and lived in the same house until he moved out and
purchased his own house.
He loved the outdoors even when it was raining. We went camping many times and even enjoyed some fishing. He loved riding his motorcycles and started with a Honda and moved up to a Harley Davidson bike.
He started working as a bag boy at Piggly Wiggly then worked his way up to the night
manager over the years.
After having two strokes, he started his own lawn care business and took care a several lawns each week.
He loved his 64 Chevy Chevelle that he inherited from his grandfather. He showed that car at many antique car shows around the area.
He was a very caring and loving person and cared deeply for his family and friends.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Goldie Phelps; grandparents Harry and Mary Sherman: grandparents George and Lillian Phelps; his nephew Shawn Allan Cornwall and many other aunts and uncles.
Dale is survived by his sister Debbie and husband David Cornwall of Tacoma; niece Anna and husband David Jones of Brownwood, Texas; three great nieces-Hannah, Emilee and Austynn and nephew Matthew Cornwall of Brownwood, Texas
