Dale William Nelson, Sr. Age 89 years, 339 days.
Born January 30, 1930 in the Mission Township, Saint Michaels, North Dakota to Ragnar and Freda Nelson. Dale passed away January 4th, 2020 in Tacoma, Washington.
Dale was a loving: husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather to his family and countless others whom he loved and cared for as his own.
Dale is survived by his loving children, Linda Land, Vickie Coffing, Lori (Charlie) Blanchard, Debra McCaffrey and Dean (Sue) Nelson. 22 grand-children, 18 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren. Siblings; Duane (Bernadine), Charles (Helen), Kathleen Hitsman, Evelyn Rasmussen, Helen Nelson, Arnold Moen, Vernon Moen, Verna Newman, Doris Johnson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Proceeded in Death; wife: Arleen, son: Dale Jr., Brothers: Bernard, Robert, Raymond, Donald, James, Kenneth, Sisters: Bernice Miller, Susan Radar, Alice Thomasson, Lena Swenson, Marguerite Nicholas, Melvin Moen, Donald Moen, Mildred Oleson, Sylvia Rude, Selma Shelver.
Memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 14th in the Aspen Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home, Lakewood, Washington. Burial services will be at 1:00 p.m.at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington with military honors. A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the VFW located at 35th & McKinley in Tacoma, Washington.
