Cyril, age 99-1/2, was a lifelong resident of Tillicum. He passed away due to complications resulting from a fall off his 3-wheeled bicycle which he loved to ride. He was born in Tacoma WA, the son of Albert and Ella Kitchen. He is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Cyril worked at Fort Lewis for 37 years for the Army and Air Force exchange services and retired as retail operations manager. He was a member of the south Tacoma Eagles Club, Tacoma Yellow Jackets motorcycle club, The Schooner Bowling team, and avid Horseshoe player for the Tacoma Horseshoe Club for 30 years. Cyril is survived by his devoted wife Amy, married for 79 years, his sons Don (Rita), Bill (Roeme), Ed (Sharon), and daughter Edie Wintermute (Bud), 11 Grandchildren, 9 great Grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. A Funeral service to honor Cyril's life will be held on Sunday, September 8th 2013 at 1:00p.m. at Mountain View Funeral home in Lakewood in the Mtn. View Celebration of Life building and reception to follow. Viewing will be held Saturday, Sept. 7th 10:00am – 5:00pm. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheilmer Association (800-493-3959).
