Cynthia M. Waight's Obituary
Cynthia M. Waight (n‚e Hunt; formerly Zierman) It is with great sadness the family of Cynthia (Hunt) Waight announces her passing after a brave fight against lung cancer. Cynthia died peacefully in her sleep at home on May 24, 2018. Born on September 29, 1940 to Margaret and Arnold Hunt, Cynthia was a lifelong Tacoma resident. She is survived by her husband, Ronald, of almost 45 years, 5 children, 3 step-children, 16 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, extended family, and many others who called her "Mom" or "Grandma." She was a very caring, compassionate, and empathetic soul, who took in many who needed comfort over the years. Cynthia loved to a fault if that is possible and was quick to forgive and lend support. In return, she was loved by many and will be profoundly missed. She will be interred at Mountain View Cemetery in a private service as she wished. The family is hosting an open house to celebrate Cynthia's life from 12-4 on Saturday, June 23rd, at the family home on Geiger Street in Tacoma. Memorial donations in memory of Cynthia can be made to 4-H or Pierce County Humane Society.
