Curt E. Jordan, Jr.Sgt., U.S. ArmyNov. 19, 1978 Â- Dec. 28, 2003Sgt. Curt Edward Jordan, Jr. was born November 19, 1978 in Paramount, CA. His family moved to the Rathdrum, ID area when he was a small child. He collapsed while working with Iraqi troops on December 28, 2003, of unknown causes.Curt left for Basic Training in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO on January 18, 2000. Just 10 days after marrying his high school sweetheart, Kim Lloyd. She joined him there after AIT. They were transferred to Ft. Lewis, WA in July 2002. He was with Alpha Company of the 14th Engineer Battalion, 555th Combat Engineer Group. Curt earned his E5 rank in October 2002, and left for Iraq with his unit on April 12, 2003. Sgt. Jordan loved working on old cars. He spent many hours in the shop with his wife and father-in-law Dan Everts. They had planned to restore KimÂ's Model A Sedan upon his return from Iraq. His favorites were his Â'84 Chevette, is Â'72 Dodge Dart, and DanÂ's Â'35 Ford.Military services will be held on January 10th, at 1:00pm at the Main Chapel on Ft. Lewis. A more informal Celebration of Life will be held in Spokane on Jan. 14 at 5:00pm. It will be held at the Wildlife Council Hall, Francis & Market with a potluck and jam session by the Old Time Fiddlers to follow.Curt is survived by his wife; daughter Felicia, age 6; son Derrek, age 2 ½, all of Ft. Lewis; his mother Linda Taylor (Terry) of Silverdale, WA; his father, Curt Jordan, Sr. (Tina) of Spokane; his brother, Specialist Adam Jordan (Mandy) of Silverdale, WA; sister Sierrena White (Sean) of St. Marys, GA; younger siblings: Josh, Jenny, Chris and Lexus. He ill also be greatly missed by his wifeÂ's entire family, with whom he was very close.
