Cranford M. Wienker's Obituary
Born February 28, 1920, the fourth of five sons of Ethyl and Harry Wienker in Seattle, Wink died in Tacoma April 19, 2010 with his beloved family at his side. Wink grew up in the Rainier Beach neighborhood. He was a proud graduate of Emerson Grade School and Franklin High School where sports ruled his life. Wink served four years in the USMC during WWII. Upon returning from the Pacific, he fulfilled a long career in the financial sector, both in Seattle and Tacoma.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Mosich-Wienker, children Valerie Wienker, Gail Palumbo-Sammons (Jim), and Kent Wienker also John Mosich (Dori), Doug Mosich (Teresa), Sue Mosich, his brothers Carl (Marion) Clive (Joan) and Claudia Wienker.
Preceding him in death, Tom Mosich and his brothers Coll and Curt. Wink also leaves behind his many, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who adored him.
Wink's favorite sunny beaches were on the island of Kauai and the Monterey Peninsula of California where he enjoyed his outdoor passion of golf. Wink especially loved his family and many friends.
