In Loving Memory of Janai Nelson Gone too soon but never forgotten.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Janai Nelson, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, wife, niece, and friend. At just 31 years old, she left this world far too soon, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Janai was the heart of every gathering, always bringing warmth, joy, and connection to those around her. Whether in lively cousin get-togethers, through the rhythms of music and dance, or nurturing her garden—where her cherished sunflowers stood tall—she found beauty in life’s simplest moments.
She is survived by her husband, Morell, and her two precious children, Malaiya (13) and Genesis (9), who were the center of her world. Her absence leaves an immeasurable void for her father, her three sisters, her brother, and all who knew and loved her.
Janai’s spirit will continue to shine, just like the sunflowers she so proudly nurtured—bright, strong, and full of life. Though she is no longer physically with us, her love and light remain, guiding us through the pain of loss and reminding us of the beauty she shared with the world.
A celebration of Janai’s life will be held May 21, 2025, 2pm at Mountain View Cemetery. In honor of her memory, may we continue to embrace each day with the same joy, love, and kindness she so effortlessly gave to us all.
