Corazon Cano Musgrove's Obituary
Corazon Cano Musgrove
"Mummums"
Corazon Cano Musgrove was born on January 9, 1928, in the Philippines, and left us on May 16, 2008 to be with her loving husband, Henry, who preceded her in death in 1990. Cora spent her final time here surrounded by family, singing one of her favorite songs, "Tiny Bubbles." Her life was filled with adventures and memories that will always be treasured by her family. Cora sang with the USO, worked for the Navy, met and married her husband of 40 years, raised 6 children, traveled the world, and loved to play bingo. She loved to sing and dance. She played the piano, drums and ukulele, loved to give parties and was a wonderful cook. The biggest joy in her life was her family. She loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren in rooms filled with singing and dancing. Cora is survived by her children: Sue Stewart (John), Debra Bostrom, Henry Musgrove, Jr. (Bea), Velvet Perry, Larry Musgrove, and Ruby Elwood (Kenny), step-children: Jack Musgrove (Lydia), Irena Stone, 41 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, her sisters: Ruby Ovalle (San Diego), Mary Alonzo (Philippines), and numerous nieces and nephews. "Mummums" will be deeply missed, not only by her family and her personal friends, but also by the multitude of friends of her children who made their way into her home. An open Rosary will be held Friday, May 23, 2008 at Mountain View Funeral Home in the Garden Chapel at 7PM. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Cora's life on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Mountain View Funeral Home in the Valley Chapel at 1PM.
