Cora Ruth Guthrie's Obituary
"Ruth" was born January 27, 1915 in Eads, CO. She was the daughter of Thomas and Lizzy Kelly, 6th of 11 children. She moved to Lacamas, WA with her husband Cecil and sons during World War II. Ruth was a member of the Rebecca Lodge and Order of Eastern Star of Roy, Washington. She retired as Chief Dietician at Madigan Army Hospital. After retirement, she and Cecil were very active in the "Bridge Hopping" Good Sam RV Club and the Key Peninsula Sportsmen's Club after moving to Minter Creek, WA. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Cecil C. Guthrie. She is survived by her sons Robert (Florence) of Puyallup and James (Nancy) of Tacoma, sister Betty Weber (Ed) of Burlington, CO, Edith Aldrich of Aurora, CO. She leaves four grandsons, two granddaughters, and seven great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their utmost gratitude and thoughts to the wonderful caregivers of Pioneer House in Puyallup, WA and Franciscan Hospice that took care of Ruth.
