Constance "Connie" Hornback's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Connie Hornback of Huffman TX. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on May 31, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital.
She was born in Tacoma, WA to Peter & Christine Goretti on December 9, 1950, raised in Tacoma and graduated from Franklin Pierce High School. She loved returning often to visit her lifelong friends and family. She was independent-minded, loving, beautiful, generous, warm, funny, intelligent, and thoughtful.
Connie had three children from an earlier marriage: Angela Harding, Don Flucas, & Rick Flucas. Later, she met and fell in love with Russ Hornback, married him on October 10, 1986, they were inseparable for the next 36 years.
The following years were exciting adventures: moving to Louisiana then Texas where she lived, worked in multiple industries, and built great friendships. She was an utterly amazing and loving mother, wife, and grandmother. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking, cleaning, painting, dancing, and spending time with her dogs. She will be forever cherished, and her presence will remain in our hearts.
She is survived by her husband Russ Hornback; three children: her daughter Angela Harding and husband Carson Harding of Centralia, WA, her son Don Flucas of Olympia, WA, and her son Rick Flucas and wife Lyanna Flucas of Menomonee Falls, WI; and six grandchildren: Justin and Christina Harding, Jeremy Flucas; Farrah and Colton Flucas; and Gabby Stern.
Services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Lakewood, WA on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 11:00 am. Connie was a passionate supporter of animal welfare. She will always be known for her empathetic nature and her sense of humor. She will live on forever with her loved ones with her legacy of love and laughter.
