Sometimes its so hard to express your feelings to words. I knew his dad Mike for many years. While we didnt come to buddies. I had the pleasure of meeting Colin several times Deena and Jeffs home for get togethers and food. Wow. what a great personality this young Colin had. Always had a good word for everyone. I remember the first time I saw your name on a flyer and thought damn, Collin is doin It!!! I met Collin around 2006 at a church in White Center. I remember the day I met him. We hit it off immediately. He was HILARIOUS and we both had very similar demons. I had never met anyone who I related to prior to meeting Collin. It was the first time in my life I had tried to escape my demons or get any help. During my three months at the church in White Center I made some friends and discovered a different way of life. But Collin was the only friend I made with whom I tried to remain in contact. I travelled to Seattle and visited him a few times and had a few hilarious phone conversations. In the past several years we lost touch and I have tried to search Facebook etc. to see if I could reconnect with him. Today I found this post. I am saddened to learn of his passing and I am sending positive energy to friends and family. It is important for me to say that even in the brief time I knew Collin, his positivity, intellect, humor and empathy made a tremendous impact on me and kept me seeking a positive path when times got rough. I will miss him for sure. So sorry for your loss.
Since kindergarten I knew we'd be lifelong friends. Cut from the same cloth, we shared a special kind of humor only we'd understand. You were the little boy that passed notes to me in 3rd grade (check the box do you like me? Yes or no) to the man I always could count on to make me laugh and smile and who truly understood ME. I'm Cheryl Boucher, Justin's mom. Justin discovered Collin's passing yesterday and was very upset about it. I just talked to Collin about 2-3 months ago when apparently Justin tried calling Collin and probably hung up. Collin was calling back to see what was up. Had a nice little chat with him. Justin was in 2 accidents in early 2000's which left him with TBI, unfortunately. He still remembers everything. He said today that Collin was the only friend he truly trusted. I have fond memories of Collin. I always felt like he and Justin were like brothers. Treated me kindly, even with the trouble they got into. My condolences to the family. We are grieved.

Collin has been a friend of mine for years but the last 4 years he would call me through his trials and tribulations he always told me I made him feel better but in truth he was the one that always made me feel better with his smile and his big hugs when you talk about the jokes and how it would be only him and I understanding I had to laugh because there was so many incidences like that I truly believe that he's in heaven right now having the time of his life my heart goes out to his mom and the rest of his family I know we miss him terribly but I do know that he's in a better place laughing smiling and hugging everyone until we meet again Colin I love you my friend
I was proud to be Collin’s second grade teacher and I remember him fondly. He was quick to smile, loved making others laugh, and so caring to his friends. We recently reconnected, and I was so happy to hear from him. My heart goes out to his family. You have truly lost a special boy.
