To the White Family,
I'm sorry will not be able to attend the services, But my thoughts and prayers will be there with you. I'm truly sorry for your loss of a great mother, wife, leader, and friend to all of us. My Family's thoughts and prayers are and will be with you. I can remember great memories of Sister White in church, and school. I can think of many activities in primary and young women, where we went to your home and had so many fun times. My Parents were talking about elder's quorum activities at your home and how much fun it was. She has touched our lives in so many small and large ways and we will Always remember her for all the good she has done for all of us!! Just remember she is watching over you from a better place and is always there to talk too, and the best thing ever Family are Forever!!

Kirk,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Wish we could be there but our circumstances won't allow us to get away. We have heard so many great things about you and your family. I and my family was fairly new to the Tacoma area and Sunset Ward (less than 2 years)and we found it difficult to establish friendships and feel at home. Then the Relief Society Presidency was changed and Colleen was called as the Relief Society President and I was called as secretary. This turned out to be an answer to my prayers. I loved working as secretary and soon knew all of the sisters in the ward.
As a result of our association I came to know Colleen and her loving and kind ways. She distained pretense and good humoredly acknowledged those areas where she lacked, such as cooking or keeping a perfect house. She truly loved the uproar of a household full of mostly young boys and had a relaxed approach to dealing with flying footballs close to windows. I was warmly accepted and though I had much to learn she was a patient teacher. She wholeheartedly loved and served the Lord and set an example of true dedication to the gospel.
My whole family was affected by my association with Colleen because we soon were friends with her whole family. Kirk coached T-ball and my son was invited to participate on his team. Then came soccer. Damon was not that good at those sports but our whole family was attending practices and games. The friendships that we developed with the White family and their example of love and service, I believe, played a part in changing the heart of Tim, which eventually led to his full participation in the church and which eventually led to our temple marriage. For this I am eternally (literally) grateful.

How much we would like to be with you on April 12 and share with you the great loss of Colleen. I have fond memories of her involvement with my students, in particular Kory who has done so well. Her amiable manner affected our lessons and she always presented a cheerful aura. We're sorry you must be without her for a while but know that in the eternal scope of things we will all be together. Dear Kirk and Family, Frank and Faye,
When Colleen first brought Trent to me for violin lessons I realized what an incredible person she is. Her understanding of that precious little boy (he was 5) was something I'll never forget. To have shared music and the gospel with them is a privilege I shall treasure always. Her wonderful attitude in the face of illness is an inspiration to me as we now face Bob's illness.
