Coleen Faye Samuelson's Obituary
Coleen Faye Samuelson, 80 of University Place, WA passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 following a battle with lung cancer. Coleen was the wife of Wallace A. (Wally) Samuelson, a retired Tacoma policeman, who predeceased her in 1993. Together they raised four boys; Dennis (Ginger) who resides in Isle of Palms, SC, Dean (Vicki) of Mill Creek, WA, Doug (Melody) of Frisco, TX and Dale (Nancie) who resides in Little Elm, TX. Coleen is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was the eldest of four children born to Fay and Doris Morrison and is survived by her brother, Ken Morrison and sister, Cheryl Osborn, both of University Place, WA. She was predeceased by her sister, Beth Blowers.
Coleen was an accountant who operated an accounting and tax business until her retirement in 2004. She will be missed as a mother, sister, friend and grandmother. A celebration of Coleen’s life will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at 2 p.m., in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Memorial Park at 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Tacoma, WA 98499. Memorial donations in memory of Coleen may be made to the BrightFocus Foundation in support of Macular Degeneration Research at brightfocus.org. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
