Uncle Clyde we miss you so much. Thank you for all the wonderful toys you brought Emily - we will always have Slink, Zebra, and "Dr. Emily's" special stethoscope in our home. We loved that you celebrated your birthday with Emily since your dates were so close. We miss your amazing detail of history and will cherish the conversations you had with Ward (Gail's dad), your fellow history buff. All our love; Jerry, Gail and Emily.
Clyde was a wonderful citizen who contributed much to our community. Not only was he an exemplary labor leader, but he contributed to civil rights, education, and fairness to poor and working class people. He was the epitome of civic engagement. I am honored that he once served as my campaign chair.

Dear Clyde's Family...
Please know that, to me, Clyde was an inspirational mentor, trusted advisor and warm friend. Working people and the Labor Movement has lost a great advocate who will surely be missed. My warmest sympathies to a family that, no doubt, feels greater loss.
Sincerely,
Bill Grostick

Clyde, I don't believe we've ever met, but I know your daughter Barb, who is passionate, friendly and kind and is the best legacy anyone can leave us. You have done your job here on earth well, now you can join other loved ones and continue to watch over us.
Thank you Clyde, for making my entry into your family a warm one. You will never know what it meant to me to have been accepted by you. I could see what a great Father you were, and could see the kindness in your heart, and I thank you for showing me that kindness. God Bless you & thanks for giving me two wonderful sisters.
