Clyde and I have corresponded for more than 30 years on his favorite subject, Books of the Black Bass. He has always been a kind and generous person and a wonderful friend. He had asked me to write a forward for his book which I considered an honor of the first order. It is difficult to express the feeling of loss I have knowing that he is gone.

It is sad to see such a great man go, but I know he is happy to join is beautiful and loving wife once again. Mr. Drury made me a part of his family when I had none close to me and he treated me as a son. I always respected and loved him and wished I had a father like Mr. Drury. I will never forget the kindness and love he showed me. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Drury family.
