Clinton J. Luker Jr.'s Obituary
Jim was born on September 15, 1946 to Clinton James Luker, Sr. and Joan Evangeline (Heikkila) Luker in Astoria, OR. After Jim graduated from Lemoore High School in Lemoore, CA, he joined the Army and retired after 20 years of service. He continued to proudly serve for 29 more years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
Jim was predeceased by his father, Clinton and mother, Joan. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, In Suk (Woo) Luker; brother John Marshall Luker; son Jason Arthur Luker and wife Allison, and their children Madeline and Jason James (JJ); son Ryan (Aengus) James Luker and wife Dawn, and their children Savanna and Brandon; daughter Jina Lynn Luker; daughter Tanya Suk Luker-Eberly and her children Astoria, Linden and Amelia (Mimi).
Jim will be remembered for the love he had for his family and friends. He will be remembered as a dedicated man to God and his church. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle way of being. Jim had a heart for people, conversing about his stories, as well as listening to theirs. He was blessed with the gift of gab and would take joy in telling anyone about his countless life adventures - hunting, fishing, his Army days as a NCO and NBC Specialist, and his work life as a Marine Machinery Mechanic and Comptroller at the shipyard.
His generosity was not just limited to conversation. Jim was always willing to help his family, friends and church in any way he could. The memories he created will remain with us. Anyone who knew Jim and his sincere heart would agree he was a gem to be in company with.
