Clifton F. DeLaney's Obituary
Clifton F. DeLaney was born August 20, 1922 in Havelock, ND to Richard and Borghild (Bach) DeLaney. He passed away July 22, 2003 at Hallmark Manor Nursing Home in Federal Way, Washington. Clifton was a longtime resident of the Tacoma/ Fircrest area.He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Wilma; brother, Richard; nephew, Rickey; and sisters, Glendoline and Maxine.He is survived by his brother, Roy; nieces and nephews, Louella Harrison, Carol Swainston, Sherri Eberle, Richard, LeeRoy, Perry, Michael DeLaney, Maryanne DeLaney, Sandy Paddock, and Charlene Seyfried; and his godchild, Robin Seyfried.Clifton graduated from Havelock, ND High School and later served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 in the Canal Zone. He was discharged in 1946 as Sergeant in the Medical Detachment at McCaw General Hospital, Walla Walla, WA. He was also a past Master Mason, Defiance Lodge #22, F. & A.M.He was employed from 1946 until 1972 as Shop Stores Supervisor for Naval Station, Tacoma, and from 1972 until 1978 as an Administration Officer and Business Manager for the Department of Justice and the Federal Prison System.Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Thursday, July 24, 2003 at Mt. View Funeral Home. Services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 25, 2003 at Mt. View Garden Chapel.
