Cleo Mae Enquist's Obituary
Cleo Mae Enquist, 79, of Tacoma, Washington, passed away on November 16, 2017 peacefully in her sleep, at home, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born in Missoula, Montana, on January 24, 1938, born to Alfred Krause and Ida Westerman, second child after Chet her brother. Later she lived in Spokane, Yakima and Walla Walla, Washington. It was in Walla Walla that she attended high school and there met her husband, Roger.
Cleo is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Eugene Enquist. They were married November 20, 1954, and after briefly living in Portland, Oregon, they moved to Tacoma.
She is survived by her five children, Gerald (Jerry) D. Enquist, Carrie Mae Eppling, Rodney (Rod) E. Enquist, Tary A. Rodocker and Darvin (Darv) A. Enquist; and many grand, great-grand and great-great-grand children; including grandchild Jennifer (Jenny) who lived with and cared for her grandmother.
Cleo’s family and friends were her love and joy. She loved more than anything else to be there for them and throughout her life volunteered in various school activities and community services. She also loved working with ceramics and took great pleasure in driving everyone around wherever they needed to go.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on November 24, 2017 at Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park, in the Garden Chapel. Burial will follow the funeral in the lower valley area of Mountain View, where she will be placed to final rest beside her husband, Roger Enquist.
