Clarice Clark's Obituary
Clarice Mae Clark, 89, died peacefully on May 1, 2019 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Clarice was born November 7, 1929, in Nashua, MN, (Wilkin Co) the daughter of George Edward Rogge and Erna Caroline Roth Rogge. She is survived by brother Merlyn Rogge (Long Prairie, MN); sister-in-law Mary (Rosamond, CA). She was preceded in death by siblings Jim Rogge (Lu), Dorothy Thompson (Truman), Laverne Born (Smilt), Delores Mitchell (Eugene); Veryl Rogge and numerous brother/sister-in-laws. In 1950, in Tacoma, WA Clarice married the love of her life, Darcy D. Clark, who preceded her in death February 24, 2005. Darcy and Clarice had five children and she became a full time wife and mother - her greatest achievement! Her children called her Lady because she was the center of our family and in every sense, a lady. Clarice loved to dance, play pinochle, cribbage, bingo, go to the casino, and travel (which always meant visiting relatives). Clarice is survived by her stepdaughter Verla; daughters Valerie (Jerry) and Vickie (Bob); and sons Mark (Barbi), Bret (Vicky), Chris (Peggy); 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. As a young girl, Clarice was confirmed in the Lutheran Church of Christ the King in Tacoma for 48 years. A special thank you to Avemere/Heritage who took care of Clarice for many years; especially Sandy and Zella.
