Clarence L. Card's Obituary
Clarence L. Card, 68, of Graham, WA has traveled to the end of the white line on June 13, 2017. Born to Sherman & Evelina Card on November 19, 1948 in Tacoma, WA. Clarence attended Mt. Tahoma High School prior to serving in the United States Army. Clarence was a Vietnam Veteran serving from July 1967 – July 1968. After his military service he attended Tacoma Community College studying auto mechanics and first aid. Clarence spent most of his working life as a truck driver.
Clarence found the love of his life, Janis, at the Old Mill Dance Hall and married June 24, 1967. Clarence loved hunting and fishing. He was a teacher to his children, grandchildren and other family/friends. He loved teaching auto repair, hunting skills, fishing skills and how to work hard but play harder.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janis. His children – Eena (Jeff) Wiest and Tony Card. Grandchildren – Delana (John) Shrader, Jessica Wiest, and Jeremiah Card. Siblings – Cecil (Joanne) Card, Evie (Jeff) Smith, Rita (Charlie) Peavley, Cheryl (David) Hecker, Cara (Kevin) Smallwood, 23 nieces & nephews, and many close friends and cousins.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents Sherman & Evelina Card and brother – Sherman Card who began riding in heaven on June 8, 2017.
Services will be held at Mt. View Cemetery on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 2pm in the Valley Chapel. Celebration of life following at 5:00pm at the family home.
