Cindy Michelle Cowlin's Obituary
On December 29th, 2020, Cindy Michelle Cowlin passed away with her husband and love of her life holding her hand.
Cindy was born on September 19th, 1969 in Tacoma Washington, to parents Willie Cowlin and Carolyn Lockridge, both of whom preceded her in death.
She is Survived by her husband of 30 years, Kevin Cubean, and her three children Ashanti Cubean, Tiahana Cubean, and son Isaiah Cubean, all of Tacoma WA.
She is the youngest of her five siblings and is survived by sisters Lisa Wiggins of Menifee CA, and Patricia Ann Cowlin of Cleveland OH, as well as brothers Anthony Wiggins of Tacoma WA, David Wiggins of Prentiss MS, and Willie Cowlin Jr. Of Cleveland OH.
Growing up, Cindy attended Jefferson Elementary, Truman Junior High, and Wilson High School. It was at Wilson that she met the love of her life. After graduating, Cindy attended Pierce College where she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. She went on to further her education and moved to Mesa, Arizona in 2003 with her loving family. After moving to Arizona, she attended Arizona State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Education from the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education in 2007.
Cindy lived in Arizona for ten years working in early childhood education, living her passion and enriching the lives of hundreds of children, as well as all those who came to know her.
In 2012, Cindy moved back to Tacoma with her family and continued educating and giving children all the love she had in her heart.
Cindy would eventually find a home where she planned to work until she retired. That place was the Neighborhood House in Seattle, WA. Cindy was loved by all her students and all who worked with her. It was at Neighborhood House that Cyndi made a lifetime impact on everyone who knew her. She continued her work there until her untimely passing.
Above all, Cindy loved her family. She was the rock that stood firm and was the strength that is woven into her children. She was a wife of 30 years and is loved dearly and eternally by her husband, Kevin.
Cindy Michelle Cubean Cowlin, you will be forever loved, forever missed, and NEVER FORGOTTEN.
Cindy will be celebrated at Mountain View Memorial Park, in the Valley Chapel on January 19th, 2020 at 1:00pm. A Viewing will be held prior to the service beginning at 11am.
