Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Hello Tessa,
I already signed this guest book, but thought that I could say something more encouraging having seen that you have a background in the Christian faith. I hope this will have the right words for you in the time need to comfort you when this new situation overwhelms you.
2 Corinthians 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:31, 37-39: 31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 11:26 and whoever lives and believes in me will never die."
And if not separated from the love of Christ nor are you separated from the love of your husband who is now with Christ.
Hebrews 13:5 God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
I know at this time God’s good plans and love for you are probably called into question for allowing this tragedy to happen. However I myself always test these verses by hindsight, and have always found them true. I hope you will stay faithful to God, and I will guarantee that sometime down the road of your life you will look around and see the good to come out of this tragedy.
As I said I hope this will be a comfort and encouragement for you.
Sincerely,
Eric Blackden##imported-begin##Eric Blackden##imported-end##
