Christopher L. Graber's Obituary
Christopher Lee Graber, 65 of Tacoma, Washington and formerly of Maddock, North Dakota passed away on July 18, 2018 at his home of 40 years. He was able to spend his final weeks at home surrounded by his family and friends.
Chris was born December 8, 1952 in Maddock, North Dakota, the son of Christ and Mary Graber (Rodland).  He joined the United States Army in January of 1970 and was honorably discharged two years later.
Chris married Gail Susan Freedland on June 9, 1972. They both worked in Grafton until moving to Tacoma, WA. At this time, Chris worked for Olsen Brothers Painting Company and then started his own paint company, Dakota Painting.
Chris was a friend to many and had a heart of gold. He would give the shirt off his back to those in need.  He had a love for coaching, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his two daughters; Lisa (Ryan) Slater and two grandsons; Luke 9 and Caleb 3 from Steilacoom, Washington and Melissa (Dan) Brown and granddaughter Jordyn Strobel (21) and two grandsons Andrew (19) and Ryan (17) from Bonney Lake, Washington. Two sisters; Sandra Larson of Minnetonka, Minnesota, Shirley Wolf of Billings, Montana and brother Darrell Graber of Cape Coral, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Susan Graber, his father, Christ Graber, mother, Mary Graber and brother, Duane Rodland.
A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Chris will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 5, 2018 in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Lakewood.
