Ching Chu's Obituary
ChiNg Chu, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on Oct 16, 2018 in Maple Valley, Washington. Ching was born on February 23, 1945 in Canton, China. She moved to the United States in the mid 1970’s. She lived in the state of Washington ever since with her beloved family.
Ching was a very devoted and hard working person. She invested in and managed numerous restaurants alongside her husband for decades. The first was Oriental Gardens in Enumclaw, Washington. Along the way, they also opened up a second restaurant in Renton, Washington called Chong Qing. Next was Jumbo Restaurant in Seattle. Finally, after moving to Maple Valley in the 1990’s, they opened their last restaurant close to home called Rice Garden. After the passing of her beloved husband, Ching retired from the restaurant business.
Her children loved and admired their mother for all the caring and support throughout their lifetime. Ching enjoyed watching Chinese soap operas in her retirement and doing gardening around the house.
Ching is survived by her children Sonny, Gary, Keith, and Victor [Anna]; grandchildren Nicholas, Savannah, Alayna, Alex, and Benjie; great grandchild Naomi.
Ching is now back together with her husband and will be loved and cherished forevermore.
