Chester Earl Hackett's Obituary
Chester Hackett, 99, passed away January 6, 2005 peacefully at Heritage Nursing home. Born November 16, 1905 in a sod house in Greeley County, Nebraska. He came to Tacoma in 1939. Retired from Brown & Haley after 35 years.He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Leone, daughter Virginia Mitchell of New York, three stepdaughters Virginia Williams of Tacoma, AnnaMargaret Anderson of Victorville, CA, Judy Morgan of Murrieta, CA and one stepson Lee Collins of Mexico. Three grandchildren Kendra, Kevin and Willie John; six great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren; a brother Jay Hackett of Kearney, NE. He was preceded by his first wife Marie of 50 + years, sister Hazel and granddaughter Vanessa. He was a member of Asbury Methodist Church for over 50 years, and a long time member of Tacoma Agate Club.Services will be 3:00 PM, Monday, January 10, 2005 in the Mt. View Funeral Home Garden Chapel.
