Chet was "One of a kind" and some might say "Thank God." I loved being around him. I loved working with him in the early days of the Battle Simulation Center. We traded tales and somehow his was always more interesting than mine. We made a few while we were there togther. I left the Sim Center and we both went our ways. I often wondered what he was up to and sometimes Bill, a mutual friend, would bring me up to date. Chet was a real war hero - as an arty spoter he was shot down and his L-19 pilot was injured. Chet carried him on his back for two days, sometimes moving at night until he made contact with friendlies. Yeah Chet was hurt too but did he ever tell you how he split his high-tech Bell helmet? Oh, there is more but you get the picture - he was my friend and one of a kind!##imported-begin##John Callaway##imported-end##

Beers on the roof, hammering road bikes through the Orting Valley, fording mountain bikes through mud and knee-deep streams on North Fort, sailing down the coast and, of course, the legendary performances of the "Skye Isle Fly-Girls (Boys?)."
Smiles. Special times, special guy!
Miss his hugs. Our hearts are with you, Ann.##imported-begin##Paul and Heather Rock##imported-end##

I am sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in these words: “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away†(Rev. 21:4)##imported-begin##Juanita Sewer##imported-end##
