Cheryl Lynn Wiebe's Obituary
Cheryl Lynn Wiebe, our beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully January 29th, 2006 following a short illness. Cheryl was born on December 9th, 1945 in Tacoma, WA to Herbert and Colleen Mims. She grew up in Tacoma and was raised by her mother, Colleen and her step father Howard Frattinger. Cheryl attended Horace Mann Elementary School, Stewart Junior High and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1964.During her career at the Pierce County Health Department some of her proudest achievements were her work with cleft lip palate children, her involvement in the child guidance program, and being chosen as a facilitator for Investment in Excellence. Cheryl was also honored to have the opportunity to work with ESL students and their families by helping with their language skills and adjusting to American society. She also took pride in her work as a real estate agent for Century 21 over the past 13 years. Other service included her voluntary efforts at the Special Olympics and raising money for the Boys and Girls Club at their annual fund raising golf tournaments.Regardless of her career at any given time throughout her life she never missed the opportunity to turn a professional relationship into a life-long friendship. Her incredible selfless nature was continuously witnessed by friends and family alike.Preceded in death by her parents, grandmother Florence Matheson, and her loving soul mate.Cheryl will be deeply missed by her beloved son Paul (Mary), her cherished grandchildren Breyana, Alyssa, and Dakota, two sisters Nancy Braedt (Norman) and Lisa Bostwick (Mark), brother Gary Mims (Colleen), her Aunt Mary Bennett (Bill), ex-husband and friend Norman Wiebe (Sherrel), numerous nieces and nephews, and many, many friends. Special thanks to her wonderful Â"firlfriendÂ" Diana Earles for her loving care.CherylÂ's life will be remembered and celebrated at 1pm on Saturday, February 4th in the Mountain View Valley Chapel.In lieu of flowers, please send donations in CherylÂ's name to the Boys and Girls Club of South Puget sound Â- Gonyea Branch.
