Cheryl Lynn Kosmicki-Hernandez's Obituary
Cheryl Lynn Kosmicki-Hernandez, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, in Lakewood, Washington. Although she had only recently moved to Lakewood and enjoyed it for a short time, she fell in love with the beauty of the nature and trees there.
Cheryl was born the youngest of five children to Francis John and Marjorie Mae Kosmicki on June 30, 1958, in North Platte, Nebraska. Just a small town farm girl at heart, she was warm and welcoming, loved her family, hosting and taking care of them and others, and was the light of her family's life. She was affectionately known as "hippie gypsy mamma" to them. Cheryl spent the majority of her life in Grandview, Washington, from 1983 to 2022, then relocated to Lakewood in 2022.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her late husband, Guadalupe Jose Hernandez; her parents, Francis John and Marjorie Mae Kosmicki; and her sister, Patricia Kosmicki.
She is survived by her brother, Francis John Kosmicki Jr.; and sisters, Veronica Kosmicki, of Wapato, WA; and Nancy Kosmicki, of Hermiston, Oregon.
Cheryl leaves her loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. She will be sincerely missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all of the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
