Cherie Jane Asher's Obituary
Cherie Jane Asher, 77, of Tacoma, Washington, passed away June 9, 2021. She was born in Auburn, Washington on December 31, 1943. Cherie graduated from Seattle Pacific College and received a BA in education. She was married to Richard Asher on November 21, 1970. They were married for 49 years.
She was the youngest of nine. Cherie Asher loved to travel and see the world. She always wanted to explore as many places as she could. She loved nature and gardening.
Cherie Asher retired as a teacher from Clover Park school district. She taught for 30 years. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene and received the distinguished service award in 2015. She volunteered at the VA and the church where she would make sandwiches.
She loved serving the neighborhood and helping others.
She is survived by her son Eldon; her daughter-in-law Pam; grandchildren Sarah and Sam Asher; and her siblings Paul, Frank, and Penny. She loved God, her family, and her friends. She will be
missed very much.
