Charnita - the news of your passing has left me numb. But one thing that I never got to thank you for was your witness. It was over 25 years ago when I stopped by your house and noticed the peace and change in your life. I remember asking you "Where did you go to get what you got to get you to stop doing what you did." The impact of you sharing with me, today I know, saved my life.

I would like to send my deepest sympathies to the Boyd and Johnson families. I met and knew Charnita when we were both in junior and high school. She always brought joy with her kindness and beautiful smile. She was an inspiring and uplifting friend and was blessed to have known her. She will be greatly missed.

I met Charnita in 1984 working for AirCal Airlines in Newport Beach, CA. We then worked together for over 20 years at Sea-Tac Airport. We were traveling buddies before we married and started our families. Char was so easy to get along with, traveling was fun with her, except her timeliness- We enjoyed many laughs. She cracked me up the time we were swimming in Grand Caymen and the water turned purple, I thought she had a terrible accident, she just laughed and said she had colored her hair and it was the magenta coming out of her hair. I pray for her family, remember her beautiful smile, faith and time will get you through this difficult time.

I loved working with Charnita. She always made me laugh when we were working together. She had such a quick wit about her that she made our job tolerable.
