Charlotte Ehli Puryear
Mom was born on August 29, 1937 in Eagle Butte, SD to Nicholas and Lena (Wentz) Ehli. She passed on February 20, 2023 in Olympia, WA.
She attended Visitation School and St. Leos High School (Class of 1955); both in Tacoma, WA. She has friends from Visitation and St. Leos who survive her. She was active for many years in reunion planning for both schools.
Mom loved her friends. She enjoyed traveling, playing BUNCO, pinochle and various games with friends. They were a very important part of her life.
Mom’s great adventure was to Germany with her cousin/friend, Sheron. She also visited New York City, San Francisco, Oahu, Alaska and other areas within the United States. She enjoyed the theatre, seeing shows on various trips.
She also loved spending time with family. Mom looked forward to holidays and gathering with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children Debra (Carey); Larry (Lettie); Steven (Sara) and Wayne (Cheryl) – Seven Grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Leo. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Lisa; her parents and brothers Al, Bill, Clarence, Peter and Don; sisters – Minnie and Alma. Her former husband, Lloyd, also preceded her.
Mom loved sunsets, especially the afterglow. When you see a beautiful sunset, think of mom.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Pierce County Environmental Services Building, 9850 64th St W, University Place, WA 98467 on Monday, March 13th, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be served.
