Charlotte Elin Matzek's Obituary
Charlotte Elin Matzek, was born December 13, 1917 in Fairfax, Washington to the late Charles and Severina Brown. At the age of 101 she passed away at her home in Yakima, WA on July 11, 2019.
Charlotte will be remembered as a caring, non-judgmental, nice and selfless woman. Children were her life, she opened her home and her heart to a total of 75 foster children. She was involved in assisting girls and boy scouts’ troops. She has touched many lives as a foster parent and more and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her three children Fran Jones of Tacoma, WA, Roy Matzek and Gail West both of Yelm, WA. Charlotte leaves a legacy of, 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 27 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Matzek who passed in 1988; sister Margaret Koval and brother Alfred Brown.
Charlotte will be laid to rest next to her husband at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, Washington.
