Charlotte Phillips
On Tuesday, March 30 Charlotte Phillips lost her courageous battle with leukemia. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Charlotte was born in 1935 to John and Evelyn Johnsen of Tacoma. She graduated from Lincoln High School.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of fifty-five years Ken, sister Barbara Johnsen of Tacoma, and three children Deborah Damitio (Mark) of Andale, Kansas, David Phillips (Melissa) of Vancouver, WA, and Jennifer Kazem (Kelly) of San Clemente, CA. Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren will be missing the loving attention of their grandmother.
Charlotte was a faithful member of the choir and bell choir of Calvary Presbyterian Church in Enumclaw. The church family has been a great support during this difficult time. The greatest joys of her life were caring for her family and her garden.
The family would like to thank Dr. Sibel Blau and the Oncology Staff of Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup for the care she received the last 13 months. Also special thanks to MultiCare Hospice and the numerous friends who have supported and assisted the family during the past year.
Viewing will be held from 3:00-9:00 PM Friday, April 2, 2010 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 3, 2010 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center with a Memorial at 2:00 PM Monday, April 5, 2010 at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Enumclaw.
