Charlotte Grimmer's Obituary
aCharlotte Grimmer, Friend and Mother to all, went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2022.
On August 31, 1927, Charlotte Wolfart was born into the world. One of 16 kids, she grew up in the German town of Gurppingin, just outside of Stutgart. She lived thru World War II where she met and married Roy Grimmer, the love of her life.
Charlotte immigrated to the US and became a Citizen in 1956 in Tacoma WA. Roy was in the Army, so they had the opportunity to live throughout the U.S. Charlotte particularly enjoyed her time stationed in North Carolina where she enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach to enjoy the sun and the water. Charlotte and Roy returned to the trees and mountains of Washington State. Charlotte often stated that she loved her trees and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.
Her beloved Roy passed away 1974 and Charlotte lived out the rest of her life in Tacoma WA. Charlotte never had any children of her own but treated every child with the love of a Mother. Living in Lakewood, she had a special bond with many of the Military families in her apartment complex. She offered loving care to the children in the complex and was a friend to all.
Some of Charlotte’s sisters later came to the United States and she enjoyed visiting them in Virginia and Texas. Charlotte was a doting Aunt who loved spending time with her nieces’ families.
Charlotte was an extraordinary woman with the heart of Saint. She was always happy and wanted everyone around her to enjoy a life full of happiness.
Please join us in Celebrating her life at her Graveside Service where she will be laid to rest next to the love of her life.
