Charlotte Gotchy's Obituary
Charlotte, the youngest child of Albert Peter Gotchy and Mildred Leona Wright passed away on July 5, 2013. She was born at home on January 14, 1936 in Sioux City, Iowa.
She is survived by her sister Carol Heinz of Fairfield, CA and numerous relatives and friends.
She worked at Western State Hospital for 30 years before retiring as laundry manager. In preparation for her retirement party, Joyce Coffel a close friend spoke with the staff inquiring what they wanted to say about her and as a result of their comments a beautiful list of qualities was written, framed and presented to her.
She had a “heart of gold”, loved life, people, fishing, ocean trips, her care givers and cooks, Joyce, Sunny, Linda, Erin, Cindy and Anthony and her special adopted “bouncing baby boy” Bret Brand! They were always there for her.
She will be missed but she is “home” now.
Graveside services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 17 at 11:30 a.m.
It is requested those attending gather in the main office to the right as you enter the gate, prompltly at 11a.m.
