Charlotte G. Goff's Obituary
Charlotte (Irmer) Goff
Charlotte, born 26 November 1931 in Waterville, WA, peacefully passed away October 5, 2008. Char was raised on a wheat farm and graduated from Withrow H.S. in 1949. She moved to Spokane where she attended beauty school. At that time she met Paul who was stationed at the near by Air Force Base. They were married on April 9, 1950. While serving in the AF, they traveled to many bases in the states as well as Italy and Turkey (she could tell you of her many adventures overseas such as having to boil the water for drinking and soaking vegetables in clorox while living in Turkey). Char and Paul were blessed with eight children: Sharon Carroll, Steven, Carrie Presley, Janet Schwanz, Jeanette Thompson (twins), Curtis, Craig and Pamela Dewyea. Besides their children, they now have 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother Gertrude (100 years old), sister Elsie and brother Bob. Charlotte's greatest joys in life were her family first and then working in the yard with her flowers (her thumb was very green). Viewing will be at Mountain View Funeral Home 9 Oct. from 11 AMEtill 9PM. Services are Friday 11:00 AM in the Aspen Chapel followed by a reception at the same location. In lieu of flowers, Char requests you send any donations to a trust fund for Shiela Barro (she was left to raise 5 children after her husband's tragic death). Send donations to Divita Lakewood Town Center SW, Suite A, Lakewood, WA 98499. Any donations will be matched by the Dialysis Center.
