Charlotte Anna Fillis-Ward's Obituary
Charlotte A. Fillis-Ward, age 93, a resident of Tacoma since 1949, died August 16, 2010. She was born on May 10, 1917, in Koelleda, Germany. She worked as a sales clerk for the Bon, the Pink Garter, and Payless at the Tacoma Mall. She was a member of the retired Retail Clerks #367, German Hermann's Lodge, Eagles Auxiliary #3, Golden Age Club, Collins Friendly Club, and the Humane Society. She was a Lutheran. Charlotte was predeceased by her two sisters in Berlin, Germany, and survived by a nephew, Rainier Rudow, also in Berlin. Charlotte also leaves behind many loving friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, August 20, 2010 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center building with a reception to follow. Remembrances may be made to the Humane Society or to the Battered Women's Shelter.
