Charles Putman Young's Obituary
Charles was born in Willard, Missouri on July 8, 1921 to Charles C. and Mary (Putman) Young.
He was the only child of this marriage.
He attended Willard High School and graduated in 1939. After high school Charles attended college until he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1942, serving until 1945. He attained the rank of TSG (Tech Sergeant).
After WWII Charles was employed by MacNeil Federal Penitentiary as a Correctional Officer. He retired in 1977 after 30 years.
He Married the love of his life Ruth Brinsfield in November of 1955. Together they raised five children. Jerry Brown, Linda Bednarczyk, Charlotte Flores, Patricia Marashi, and Michael Young.
Charles was handy, a do-it-yoursrlf guy, always helping neighbors and friends.
He loved hunting, fishing, camping, gardening crossword puzzles, scrabble, watching baseball games and sports.
Charles is survived by his wife Ruth and their 5 children. Charles also leaves behind his grandsons and grand daughters Alan Bednarczyk, Robert Bednarczyk, Charam LaFata, Cheyanne Flores, Christian Flores, Kamraun Marashi, and Keyan Marashi. Great-granson's and grand-daughters Aidan LaFata, Mia Lafata, Kennedy LaFata, Xavier Marashi, Vorian Marashi, and Soraya Marahsi.
Charles was preceded in death by his grandson Charen Flores.
Charles will sorely missed by all those he touched.
