Charles Wesley Anderson
Charles was born April 6, 1919 in San Francisco, CA, and died August 27, 2012. He was the fourth of five children born to Belle and Charles Wesley Anderson. He graduated from Mission High School in San Francisco and enlisted in the Army April 1, 1941. During WWII he was commissioned and served in the European Theatre with the 75th Infantry Division. He served in the Korean Conflict, Berlin Wall crisis and Viet Nam War. After military retirement he worked for Time Oil Company for 20 years. He married Martha Eugenia Murray in 1943. They were married 67 years. Martha passed away in 2010. They were members of the Tacoma Country Club and enjoyed traveling. He loved to paint; work with stained glass and at 75 took up wood carving participating each year at the Puyallup Fair. He was a charter member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Lakewood. He is survived by his son Charles Wesley Anderson III and wife Barbara of Montgomery, AL, Dr. Martha Sanderlin of DuPont, WA, Dorothy Alto and son-in-law John of Sherwood, OR, John Murray Anderson of Lakewood, WA, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
