My Uncle Charles was a kind, sweet, gentle, soft spoken man.
One of my most vivid memories of him as a little girl is seeing his long body stretched out on the sofa watching television, lost in his own thoughts. Whenever something tickled him he would let out this full deep genuine laugh. I'll never forget the sound of it because he was such a quiet man that when you heard his laughter you instantly stopped what you were doing and looked toward him to make sure he was okay!
Another memory is of him walking through the house with Nicholas, Kelsey, and Ashley when they were babies, held tightly in his arms. Kelsey of course would try to get free and get into things, but he would hold her tightly to keep her out of harms way. He loved his children so dearly.
Yes, he was a quiet introspective man- but he had a presence of peace and love. As a nurse I'm sure that he touched many lives. My Uncle Charles was taken all too soon, but I strongly feel that he was an angel sent here to bless, encourage, and assist others here on Earth. Yes, God has called his physical body home. But his spirit will always be with us and those whose lives he touched.
I love you, Uncle Charles. You are a part of who I am. You will never be forgotten.
Love,
Monica
