Although I did not have the blessing of knowing my nephew Eric closely, I know he was fearfully and wonderfully made by the Lord (Psalm 139:14). He was deeply loved by his family and precious in God’s sight from the very beginning of his life.
From the stories I’ve heard, Eric carried a light within him — a light that touched the hearts of those who knew him best. His journey on this earth was far too short, and his passing leaves an ache that words cannot fully capture. But I take comfort in the promise of God’s Word: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18)
Today, I honor Eric’s life by lifting up his memory to the Lord. I pray for peace that surpasses all understanding to cover his parents, siblings, and all who grieve him. May we hold tighter to each other, speak life over one another, and remember that even in the darkest valleys, God is with us.
Love Always, Dwayne, Monique, Zane and Max-Aiden.
