Charles John Thomas' Obituary
Charlie passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024 after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family in his last days and his wife of 30 years. Missi was there to hold his hand as he began his New Journey.
He was 76 years old, born in Washington and lived here his whole life, graduating from Lincoln High School class of 1966. He raised a family and spent his career in Sales Management, retiring from Reliable Parts where he dedicated 30 years joyfully serving the Tacoma Community before retiring in May 2018.
His efficient methodical nature; strong work ethic; and desire to help others made his Customer Service second to none. He greeted all he met with a smile and impacted the lives of many.
Charlie was never shy about showing his love for his friends and especially his family. Charlie was immensely proud to be a grandfather and great grandfather. He graciously offered a hug to everyone he encountered each time they met.
Charlie is survived by his wife Missi; brothers Glen and Rob Thomas; their children Holly (Glen) Byrne; Christopher (Angela) Thomas; Frank (Jessica) Castillo; Orlonda Castillo and his dearest friend since they were 5 years old Kahuna (Terry Meisenberg).
He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Nikolas; Ceira; Brian; Daylon; Tiauna-Rose; Bronwyn; Tristan and 8 great grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents Bob Thomas- father; Ann Emerson- mother and grandson Cameron Nelson.
He will be remembered for his generosity, kind and even temper, love for jazz and single malt scotch. The love and attention he showed family and friends.
Charlie enjoyed his quiet and cozy life, Therefore in Lieu of a Memorial Service he asked to be remembered with a simple toast by raising a glass of Wine, a Pint of beer, a dram of scotch (Lagavulin) his favorite or any drink you wish.
He thanks you for the love and memories created over his lifetime.
Together or apart we can toast to the memory of the man we each knew on
