Charles Stone's Obituary
Charles C. Stone (Chet) Also known as "The old Guy," was born in Prince Rupert, Canada on April 30, 1922 and passed away July 29, 2011 in Tacoma, WA. Chet grew up in Tacoma and graduated from Lincoln High School. He served in the Navy during WWII. Chet had a lifetime career in the lumber industry while participating in the Elks and Moose lodges. Chet was a leader and committed member of the community. He was always helping his neighbors and friends, and was a mentor to many. He will be missed and is loved by all who knew him. He is survived by life partner Dorothey Cheatham, Jack Stone, Charlotte McGregor, and Alice Stone, children Sherrie Hannem and Douglas Stone, grandchildren Jeff, Lori and husband Chuck, great-grandchildren Mathew, Spencer, Alicia and Miranda. He was preceded in death by wife Charlotte Stone, Walt Stone, Muriel Stone, and Maxine Hall.
