Charles Shenk's Obituary
Charles "Troy" Shenk, age 36 years, was killed in a tragic auto accident on Tuesday, September 18, 2001 in Twin Falls, Idaho, where he resided.
Troy was born January 23, 1965 in Olympia, WA . Troy grew up in University Place, attended Curtis High School and graduated from Clinton High School in Mass. At the time of his death, he was employed as Special Finance Manager for Randy Hansen's Isuzu. Troy was an avid sports fan, played soccer, raced cars and loved to travel. For many years, he counseled in prisons and in his community to alcoholics. His home was a haven to anyone in need. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church where he led Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
He was a devoted husband and father. He is preceded in death by his aunt, Ruth Puntches Reeves. He leaves behind a son, Nicholas, age 12, a daughter Samantha, age 10, of Springfield , MA, his wife Lisa, step-children Danielle and Shelby of Twin Falls, Idaho, his mother Lorna Heiser of Tacoma, father Charles Shenk and brother Robert "JJ" of Huntington Beach, CA, sisters, Sherry Duncan of Graham, WA, Darcy Kanar of Puyallup, and Jodi Gardner of Kauai, Hawaii. He also leaves his paternal grandmother Della Durant and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
