Charles Ray Darling's Obituary
Charles Ray Darling, age 87, passed away on May 27, 2009 in Tacoma. He was born in Enumclaw, Washington on November 12, 1921. He was a Coast Guard veteran of WWII. He retired from Puget Sound National Bank after 35 years. He had been a volunteer at Tacoma General Hospital for the past 5 years. He considered this an extremely important part of his life. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Norma. He leaves behind 2 daughters Gail Carlton (John) and Laurie Gleason (Mike), 4 grandchildren, Morgan Jackson (Marco), Lindsay Roman (Paul), Jihan Robinson (Nick), Joshua Carlton (Jill), one great granddaughter, Sloane Robinson, his sister Marlys Berg, niece Allison Berg, and nephew Rick Berg (Cheryl). At Charles' request there will be no service. Any donations can be made to the American Heart Association or The Alzheimer's Association .
