Charles Peter Anderson's Obituary
Charles P. Anderson
Charles P. ("Chuck" or "Charlie") Anderson passed from this life too soon at 59 at home in Buckley on September 3, 2008 after a short, courageous battle with cancer and emphysema. Born in Brockton MA to Charles P. and Shirley (Ballum) Anderson, he grew up in Southern California. A decorated U.S. Army soldier, he served two tours in Vietnam 1969-1971 as a crew chief and helicopter door gunner and married Rebecca King while stationed at Fort Lewis in 1971. He built 737 airplanes for 26 years with the Boeing Company, and loved baseball, fishing, walking his dogs and crafting things. Survived by his loving wife, his father he adored, brother Craig Anderson of Covington, nieces, nephews and numerous family in California, Florida, Missouri, Oregon and New England. Preceded in death by his mother, sister Sally and grandparents. Heartfelt thanks to the Buckley Fire Department aid crew, especially Jon and Beth, for compassionate and dedicated efforts to help Chuck and comfort his family during his illness and final passing. A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, September 14, 2008, at Buckley Multipurpose Center on Main Street. A private internment of ashes will be scheduled for family at Mountain View Funeral Home, in Lakewood.
