Charles Junior HuntSGM, USA, RETIREDApril 4, 1929 Â- December 27, 2003Charlie has gone home to the Lord. Preceding him in death are his parents Charles Edward Hunt & Margaret Hazel Bunch; son Charles Edward Hunt II; sister Winifred Clifton. Mourning his loss, but praising the Lord for his peace are his wife Mary Lou Hunt; children Margaret (John) Porter, Darlene Blakely, Deanna Stine, Cheryl Snyder, and Lorie Fisher; grandchildren Johnny, Patrick, Aaron, Amy, Sarah, Nicole, Shawna, and Michael; sisters Gladys Ferguson and Myrtle Blair; and a host of other relatives and friends.Charlie retired from the Washington Army National Guard on April 30, 1984 with 34 years, six months, and 26 days service. He served both in the Navy and Army. Charlie joined the VFW in April 1975 becoming a Charter Member of VFW Post #2329 in Tillicum, WA holding many offices including Commander. Prior to his death, he worked as a Service Officer with the American Legion on Ft. Lewis.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004 at Mt. View Valley Chapel with a reception to follow @ Tillicum/American Lake Garden Community Center. Future interment will be at the Ft. Lewis Cemetery.
