Charles dedicated much of his professional life to education, serving as a vice principal at a local high school. In that role, he was known for his steady leadership, fairness, and genuine concern for students and staff alike. After his career in education, Charles pursued his entrepreneurial spirit by becoming the owner of a fishing tackle supply store, combining his love of the outdoors with a commitment to serving his community and fellow anglers.
Throughout his life, Charles was respected for his strong work ethic, practical wisdom, and quiet generosity. Whether guiding young people through their formative years or helping customers prepare for a day on the water, he took pride in doing his work well and treating others with kindness and respect.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Kay Forsland of Renton, Washington, and his son, Bruce Forsland of Portland, Oregon, who will remember him as a devoted father whose values and example left a lasting impression.
