Charles E. Miller's Obituary
Charles E. Miller
Was born in Winnemucca, Nevada on October 5, 1921, and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 2, 2009.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Stella, two daughters, Gloria Lindstrom (John) and Karen Bernoux (Denis), two grandchildren, Charlie Pinchak (Kelli) and Jenni Pinchak, and two great-grandchildren, Abbey and Blaine Pinchak.
Chuck proudly served his country in World War II. Following the war he married Stella, and brought her from Pennsylvania to live in Washington State. He was extraordinarily gifted with anything mechanical, and retired in 1983 after working for over 50 years repairing Studebakers, Fords and Mercuries. He had a wonderful sense of humor and approached life with a smile. Each life he touched was better for having known this gentle, caring man. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the care and compassion of the Mulitcare Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice team who cared for Chuck during his final days.
A memorial service to celebrate Chuck's life will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 1:00 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, located at 1315 N. Stevens, Tacoma, Washington. Inurnment with full military honors will be held at the Tahoma National Cemetery promptly at 2:30 on Thursday July 9th, located at 18600 SE 240th Street, Kent, Washington.
