Charles D. Cole, 79 of Sumner passed away August 21, 2002, Charles was born June 4, 1923 in Duluth, MN to Clarence D and Clara A Hendrick Cole. Charles served in the Air Force for 22 years, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant, after retirement he went on to a career with The Boeing Aircraft Company for 10 years.Charles is survived by his wife Donna of 56 years, children: Randy Charles Cole, Suzanne Cole Backenstose, Virginia Reed, grandchildren Melissa Lee, Shad Beach, Brianne Backenstose, Christopher Charles Cole, great grandchildren Adam Charles Lee, Drew Beach, Alexandrea Dianne Lee and Andrew Lee, brother James Cole and sister Margoire Larson.Graveside services with Military Honors will be held Saturday, August 24, 2002 at 2:30 in the afternoon.
